NASCAR 1970.

The Fiat Abarth.

No, not the little hipster micro-car of TV commercial fame. This is a real Fiat Abarth of rally motorsport fame.  The Fiat 131 Abarth.

A Period 2.5L Porsche Hotrod Engine

Yes, a 'period' engine, not a period-correct engine.  Period-correct is something built today to simulate what was built - in the case of early 911s - in the 1970's.  The engine in the Graywolf is a survivor hotrod engine built at legendary Stoddard Porsche in the 70's utilizing factory Mahle Carrera RS pistons & cylinders and real Weber 40IDA 3-barrel carbs - no resto-mod PMOs here!   Stoddard was the go-to shop in the midwest/eastcoast back then.  So here we are some 35 years and many miles later and my engine is running stronger than ever.  It never ceases to amaze.

A cool pic of the Martini 917LH at the factory being prepped for Le Mans 1971.  The 911 in the background has a 1972 S spoiler.
